Note: As of September 2023, due to the current surge of Covid-19 cases, voice lessons and vocal coaching will be on-line only via zoom until further notice. Piano lessons will continue in-person.

  • “We have been beyond lucky to have Arianna as our daughter's voice, theater and piano coach/teacher for the last several years. Arianna is amazingly schooled and skilled in the art of music. She has enhanced our daughters voice and piano skills in ways we would never have imagined. In addition, Arianna is a kind and motivational instructor who empowers our daughter with the skills and encouragement she needs to pursue her musical activities. Our daughter has also participated in Arianna's theater school locally where Arianna has written plays and created characters that align and match with her students' personalities and skills. As a result of Arianna's work with our daughter, our child has been provided lead roles in school plays and, as importantly, has a love for music that brings joy to her and our home. Arianna make learning fun and yet is always ultra professional, bringing a Broadway level of skills right into our daughter's world. Recently, Arianna coached our daughter for high school music scholarship auditions. We had the gift of Arianna in New York and now, with her move to Florida, our daughter participates in FaceTime lessons with her. She has become part of our family and we never want to give her up!! Whether you are a parent with a beginner child who is looking to be introduced to music in a caring and fun way or a parent seeking Broadway level talent to bring your child to the next musical level, run to Arianna. Your child's musical world will be transformed!” – MaryEllen, parent of Reilly

“Thank you, Arianna, for teaching us how to sing. I never really liked to sing but now I like to because of you. You rose my singing to a higher level. You inspired me to love music….I am proud because my class and I worked on something together as a group. Before I thought singing was boring, but with you, it’s no longer boring.” – Anaika A., PS 75, Songwriting and Performing Residency

  • Preferred Age Level:

11 years old through adult. Younger than 11 to be determined on an individual basis.

    Student Level of Experience:

    Beginner through Professional

  • I teach in your home or another location you designate.

I prefer to teach in the downtown Delray Beach area. Additional travel charges may apply for lessons desired in West Delray or surrounding towns.

  • Lesson Frequency:

Once-a-week vocal lessons are recommended as they provide the optimal learning and retention. As I teach many students on a regular basis, if someone does not commit to regular lesson days/times, I cannot guarantee a slot. However, I am available for short-term sessions for audition preparation.

    Lesson Length:

Lesson times range from 1/2 hour to 1 hour or longer, dependent on student age, abilities and scheduling for them and myself.

  • Vocal Genres:

Musical Theatre, Pop, Vocal Jazz, Music Improvisation

    Vocal Successes:

My students have successfully auditioned for New World School of the Arts FL, Miami Arts Charter FL (MAC), LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts (NYC), Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (NYC), Scholars Academy (Queens NY), and numerous colleges and theatrical productions.

    Musical Theatre:

particular emphasis is placed on the lyric as text and the vocalist as storyteller, embodying the character. Technique- Interpretation- Performance.

  • Repertoire:

One or two vocal books, depending on student’s age, level, and preferred genre. This is supplemented by single sheets of music based on student’s interests and learning level. If the student requests sheet music, upon gaining permission from the adult (if a child) instructor will purchase it, if available, and provide invoice to adult at the next lesson.

After a voice evaluation and conversation at the first lesson, a link to purchase appropriate books will be emailed or texted to the adult purchaser so that it is delivered directly to you, or you can purchase at a local music store.

  • Methodology:

I focus on a wholistic method of teaching. I believe it is extremely helpful for singers to be able to read music so that is included in our lesson time if they don’t already possess that skill. The first part of the session will be vocal warm-ups, both general and specifically geared to problem spots for each student. We will then work on repertoire. We learn music first, using syllables such as la, to solidify the music in the body; then move on to the lyrics. Diction, dynamics, and lyric meaning receive great attention. We often use the internet in lessons to listen and look at age appropriate music videos or recordings to enhance each lesson. A music sheet with what to practice is provided at the end of each session. Vocal care of the voice is also discussed.

  • Accompaniment (keyboard and tracks):

If a piano or keyboard is not available at the vocal student’s home, I will transport my portable keyboard, bench and stand to each lesson. An additional fee of $15 per lesson will apply if that is the case as it takes time to transport, set up and break down. If an amp/microphone stand is needed that will be an additional $10.00 fee per lesson. Due to sanitary reasons, student will need to provide their own microphone if that is a necessary lesson component. Even if the student is using tracks we still need to warm up the voice, work on the melody, etc., so a keyboard of some type is necessary (at least 61 keys, weighted or touch-sensitive).

If tracks are being used, the student will provide a way for the track to be heard via amplification. If this is not possible, prior arrangements will need to be made to email the track or upload it to a google drive so the instructor can play it with amplification.

  • Scheduling:

Instructor and student/student representative will find a mutually agreeable day and time for lessons. As instructor will be travelling to different homes in different locations for lessons, it may take a little while at the beginning of each semester to get everything arranged so that it makes geographic sense. It is always appreciated if a student has flexibility.

  • A monthly payment at the first lesson of the month, for the lessons for the entire month, is preferred and encouraged .

    • Payment can be with cash, check, venmo or zelle. An invoice can be supplied upon request.

    • If paying for a full month in cash, a 5% discount will be applied. This is for cash only.

    • If there are multiple students at one location/within one family taking lessons for a longer amount of time (90 minutes or longer), a discount may be offered at the instructor’s discretion.

  • Make-up policy:

You are paying for my time and expertise.

    • If student cancels a lesson the same day, there is no refund and no make-up. (We’ll deal with illness-related cancellations on a case-by-case basis.) No penalty if the cancellation is a result of a positive Covid or Monkeypox diagnosis.

    • Repeated cancellations may result in the student being dropped from the schedule.

    • If a student cancels with more than 24 hours notice, every effort will be made to reschedule the lesson. It can also be made up via Zoom.

    • If instructor needs to cancel, every effort will be made to reschedule the lesson, and if that is not possible due to scheduling issues, the missed session will be pushed forward, i.e. if the lesson was already paid for, it will be credited during the following month.

  • Lateness Policy:

Living in South Florida means sometimes dealing with traffic issues that we have no control over, causing lateness, as well as unforseen circumstances. Depending on whether I have another student right after you, and our schedules, I am happy to give you the full time if you are a few minutes late. There may be times I am unable to do so if I have a full roster of students.

I’d appreciate a text or call and an approximate arrival time (if known) so that I’m aware of the situation.

If I am running late, I will contact you, and will make up the missed time however makes sense - either staying later, or adding the time onto another lesson.

  • Parking Policy:

If there is not free, available parking by you, the cost of parking will need to be added to the lesson fee.

If close enough, and schedule and weather allowing, I may be able to ride my bicycle to your home, and would need a safe area to secure it.
